Oats contain nutrients that are healing, supportive and nurturing to the avian nervous system. These organic oats seeds, when sprouted, are fed as a part of Leslie’s Balanced Food Plan for parrots for improving behaviors.

These oat seed sprouts can be fed to all species of medium and large-sized parrots.

These oat seeds can be more of a challenge to sprout. Directions are on pages 282 – 284 of Leslie’s book, Polly Want a Sprout? If you don’t already have a copy of this book it is a worthwhile addition to the library of all parrot lovers. These oat seed sprouts can be fed even if they do not grow a ‘sprout tail’.

For optimal results you will want to feed one of our BBFE! Complete Protein Sprouting Blends, the Original or the Wheat-Free, as the main food in your bird’s diet.
